    About Electroepilation

Do you aim for perfection ? At Silkor, we do too! Our laser hair removal technologies treat 90% of the cases and in order to achieve ultimate results for permanent hair removal,  we introduce the world class Electroepilation therapy.

    What is Electroepilation?

It is a treatment using the electrolysis method to remove hair permanently from the body and face. Using sterile, disposable needles that are very fine and thin, this technique destroys the cells that cause hair growth. By passing a very low current of electricity through the needle, which has been inserted into the hair follicle, this destroys the hair follicle’s ability to regenerate, thus permanently preventing regrowth of unwanted hair. Results are guaranteed on facial fine hair, white and blond hair If you have undesired scattered hair and want to get rid of it permanently, results are guaranteed! Most areas of the body can be treated with our Apilus Electrolysis machine, including the eyebrows, face, abdomen, bikini area and breast. Dark or light, no need to worry! Electrolysis will work no matter what your hair and skin color are. The results are 100% guaranteed on facial fine hair, white and blond hair, even hair over tattoos. Electroepilation is very effective too as a post laser treatment for the 5 to 10% of fine hair left on the body and facial areas.

    How does it work?

A probe (thin and soft needle) is inserted into the hair follicle then a brief electric current is released. The hair is removed without resistance with tweezers and the client will experience no particular sensation. After each epilation session, we use Cataphoresis (if there are no contraindications to direct current) which is a positively charged aftercare treatment. This diminishes redness providing soothing protection to the treated area.

    Painful or not?!

Hair follicles do not have nerve receptors, so it will not be painful. Yet, if you find it too uncomfortable, you can apply an anesthetic cream to the treated area before the session.

    Why is it AWESOME?

At Silkor, we never settle for average! We use state-of-the-art "Apilus Electrolysis Technology" and we abide by high hygiene standards to ensure the well-being of all of our clients. All equipment used during your treatment comes pre-packed, sterilized and ready for one-person use. We also utilize 'one use' disposable probes, where the upper part of the probe is insulated with medical grade Teflon. This ensures that the energy and reaction is concentrated deep beneath the surface of the skin, ensuring no lasting marks to the skin's surface.

We invest in results and your comfort

The success of Electroepilation will always be dependent upon the training and skills of the therapist. However, at Silkor combining these skills with Apilus Electroepilation technology will assure the most comfortable, rapid and efficient treatment. The number of sessions required depends on the treated area, as every follicle generally needs to be targeted at least twice. You will need around 15 sessions to permanently remove undesired hair. This may seem like a lot of sessions, but it’s worth it!
