What are Laser Peels?
Laser Peels are a revolutionary and safe cosmetic procedure offering a solution for several skin problems and a visual improvement in the quality of the skin starting from the first treatment.
What can be treated with Silkor’s Laser Peels?
Since our laser peels work on stimulating collagen production and peeling the skin layer by layer allowing to control the depth of the treatment, several skin problems can be solved or improved such as:
- Anti-aging: stimulating collagen production
- Skin rejuvenation: getting rid of dark spots, Crow’s feet and fine wrinkles
- Pigmented lesions: improving brown age spots and freckles
- Stretch marks
- Acne scars
What is the laser technology used in laser peels?
Silkor is known to be the home of the most innovative laser technologies found around the world and in the case of laser peels, nothing has changed! In order to cater to your needs, our trained specialists use the Harmony lite (AFT™ technology), the UltraPulse Encore Fractional CO2
laser in addition to RevLite®
& Medlite® Q-Switched Nd: YAG
During your consultation, our dermatologists will decide which technology to use according to your condition noting that in some cases, the treatment consists of combining several machines together for better results.
How many sessions do I need?
The laser peels treatment is a gradual process and the number of sessions needed differs from one person to another according to their condition. Therefore, consulting Silkor’s dermatologist is mandatory in order to set a clear plan to reach your goal noting that maintenance is highly recommended.
Is it painful?
Feeling pain should be the least of your worries! The improved laser technologies used allow our specialists to control the depth of treatment, ranging from a superficial to a moderate or deep peel with mild discomfort. You might feel a slight tingling sensation and a topical anesthetic can be applied if desired.
Dos and don’ts before and after the treatment …
1 week before the treatment, you should avoid tanning and make sure that the treated area is free of any open sores, lesions or skin infections. You should also stop using bleaching and exfoliating creams for 3-4 days prior to the treatment.
After the treatment, our dermatologist will give you all the specific instructions depending on the laser technology used. Yet, in general, you should avoid sun exposure and cosmetics and you have to apply sunscreen on a daily basis. Very simple, isn’t it!
