A 10- to 15-minutes outpatient procedure!
Carboxytherapy is a simple medico-aesthetic procedure in which a sterile medical CO2 gas is infused under the skin in several areas of the body. It’s an old technique used by doctors for the first time in France in 1932. A series of consecutive sessions is guaranteed to give you results that can last for up to 6 months.
How does it work?
Carbon Dioxide is present naturally in the body. Injecting it under the skin enhances the blood circulation to increase the oxygen in the treated areas. When CO2 gas is injected under the skin, your body reacts to what it believes is oxygen deficiency causing more blood to flow into this area to supply it with the needed oxygen.
Does it hurt?
Carboxytherapy is considered as a quick treatment; between 10 and 15 minutes. Silkor’s trained professional will use a very minute caliber needle (less than 0.3 mm) to inject an adequate amount of CO2 gas where you may feel a bit of pressure while the gas spreads under your skin. The process is very simple; there is no recovery period or pre-operative technique as there is no anesthesia involved in the session. Some people might think that Carboxytherapy requires pain management after the session. Wrong! You will not even need a single pill of painkillers!
Any side effects?
Surprisingly, the process has the least side effects when compared to other methods. The possible side effects are redness and numbness of the skin at the area of injection.
Carboxytherapy treats the below conditions:
