It's something we have been doing for the past two decades!
Our many years of experience since establishment in the year 1997 have earned us a reputation as the region’s most trusted provider for Laser Hair Removal and Laser Medico- Aesthetic treatments.
It's time to drop the razor for good.
Laser hair removal can rid you of the pain and inconvenience of shaving and waxing, which can be time-consuming. It is also a great solution to remove unwanted hair that grows in areas such as the back, shoulders, chest, belly, arms, legs, armpits, and private areas. Laser is an effective method to remove facial hair as well as body hair permanently for both men and women.
But how does laser eliminate hair permanently?
Laser hair removal works by beaming a highly concentrated light directed to the hair follicles. The pigments in the follicle absorb the light, which in turn breaks down the follicle and prevents the hair from regrowing. However, laser hair removal can only destroy follicles that are in the anagen phase of the hair growth cycle.
Why do I need several laser sessions?
Hair passes through three growth phases, including the so-called anagen phase, during which hair is actively growing. While laser hair removal only destroys follicles of hairs that are in their anagen stage, not all strands of hair reach the growth stage at the same time. Multiple sessions ensure more hair follicles are destroyed, thus a better result.
Don’t mix them up! Laser VS. electrolysis.
While electrolysis treatment relies on a single electric charge that destroys the hair follicle one hair at a time, laser treatment is faster and more gentle and is capable of treating large areas.
Our practitioners are skilled and our machines are FDA- approved.
OUR VERY OWN TRAINING CENTER:
Before handling a laser machine, each practitioner goes through an intensive training process. The first is obtained at Silkor’s state of art training facility, to be followed by a training course offered by the manufacturer of the laser machines utilized in our centers.
Also, a licensed dermatologist acts as a medical director following up on all treatments. He is assigned to oversee the medical staff and to asses their competence.
TO EACH HIS VERY OWN LASER HAIR REMOVAL MACHINE.
Many laser hair removal centers have a “one machine fits all” mindset, while we operate differently, and believe that every patient must have a customized experience that fits his/her concerns. For that reason, we made available at Silkor Laser & Medical Centers FDA- approved machines that fit all skin types and hair colors.
STATE OF THE ART MACHINES FOR A CUSTOMIZED EXPERIENCE:
1- Diode laser (LightSheer®, Lumenis One™, & LightSheer® Duet™ from Lumenis®): Designed to remove thick coarse facial hair and body hair on all shades of skin color.
3- Nd: YAG Laser (Appogee+™ & Elite+™ from Cynorus®), is ideal for darker and tanned skin types. Nd: YAG omits high wavelength and has the ability to penetrate deeply and precisely with minimal scattering of laser energy and with no harm to surrounding tissue.
Get a Free Touch- Up Sessions after 10 to 14 days from your sessions
A touch-up session is scheduled in between sessions to target the hair that went under the radar during your previous session. The touch-up session's duration ranges from a couple of minutes to a maximum of 15 minutes depending on the treated area.
Men most commonly benefit from laser hair removal to shape their beard or to get rid of pseudofolliculitis forever - painful inflamed bumps caused by shaving. Our male clientele also finds laser hair removal successful at thinning of body hair, while others prefer a full body hair removal or what's is known as the “swimmer’s body look”.
It doesn't have to be costly or to hurt too much!
How much does laser hair removal cost?
Prices are usually given per area per session or as a flat fee. Also, patients can benefit from multiple areas and multiple treatment discounts.
How much pain will I feel during a laser hair removal session?
On average people describe a feeling of moderate stinging or tingling. However, some areas are more sensitive than others, hence it might hurt more to remove underarms hair than that on the arms.
On the other hand, pain is relative to every person, if you usually feel pain more than average during waxing or plucking then you’ll probably hurt a bit more during a laser hair removal session.
But if you have sensitive skin or are not ready to handle the pain with our double cooling technology!
We at Silkor offer you the option to apply a topical anesthetic cream. Also, a lot of patients report feeling less pain, during LHR, after applying our double cooling technology that numbs the skin, reduces swelling, enhances healing and prompts safety.

Will I notice any changes from the first session?
You need multiple sessions to remove hair permanently, but you'll reap the benefits of LHR from day 1. Your skin will look healthier and feel smoother and you'll notice a considerable amount of hair loss in treated areas.
Do I have to shave my face before my laser session?
With the new advancements in the field of laser hair removal, you are not required to remove hair with a razor before treating facial areas.
Is laser hair removal made for everyone?
Laser hair removal will not work on white, grey, light red or light blond hair follicles - we usually treat these cases using electrolysis since it doesn't rely on targeting the pigment in the follicle to kill the hair. Women with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), may experience poor results unless they receive medical support along with the laser treatment.
When will I start seeing results?
You will start seeing results after your very first session, and you will notice all through your treatment that hair in treated areas is dwindling. Eventually, you will reduce 15% to 20% of hair growth permanently each session.

Some tips that can help you with the post treatment process
After your session, you might experience redness in the treated areas similar to that of a sunburn; this is normal and temporary. To help heal it, you must splash the treated area with cold water often, and apply a soothing cream every 2 to 3 hours for a period of 2 to 3 days.
After your treatment
1)Avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area.
2)Avoid very hot showers or swimming in chlorinated water
3)Always remember, to use sunscreen SPF 50 on the treated areas at all times DURING and After your treatment.
4)Usually, hair in treated areas falls off right away; but in some cases, it can take up to 2 weeks for the hair to fall away. This process can be helped along by gentle use of a washcloth or body scrub for 4 to 5 days after treatment.
