    What is Carboxytherapy?

    It’s a simple medico-aesthetic procedure in which a sterile medical CO2 gas is infused under the skin in several areas of the body. A series of consecutive sessions is guaranteed to give you results that can last for up to 6 months.

    It originated in French spas in the 1930s.

    How does it work?

     

    When Carbon Dioxide gas is injected under the skin, your body reacts to what it believes is oxygen deficiency causing more blood to flow into this area to supply it with the needed oxygen.

    Carbon Dioxide is naturally presence in our body.

    Does it hurt?

    It takes between 10 to 15 minutes for our trained professionals to complete the Carboxytherapy treatment.
    A very minute caliber needle (less than 0.3 mm) injects an adequate amount of Carbon Dioxide gas where you may feel a bit of pressure while the gas spreads under your skin.

    The process might leave your skin with slight redness or numbness after the injections, however it is:

    Stretch Marks

    They are the obvious discolorations that appear on the skin after being stretched to the limit – which usually occur after weight gain or loss.
    When the collagen fibers are stretched to its full extent, several blood capillaries are broken down and torn during the process resulting in the appearance of pink streaks.
    Then the blood is absorbed and the line loses its pigmentation leading into a white line or a stretch mark.

    This treatment is the catalyst that increases the number of fibroblasts at the site of the stretch mark. Fibroblasts are the source of collagen fibers that are responsible for the elasticity of the skin.

    You need between 10 and 15 sessions depending on your case noting that new red stretch marks respond better to the treatment than old white stretch marks with a maximum of 60% guaranteed results.
    For a better performance, it’s recommended to combine it with mesotherapy for stretch marks.
