Laser Tattoo Removal

Easily inked, easily removed with the latest technology!

There are many reasons why you would want to remove a tattoo! We’re not here to say what they are, as they are personal to each and everyone. However, we’re here to tell you “fear not”, we’ve got the technology to literally remove it in several sessions.

How does laser tattoo removal work?

With the latest state-of-the-art technologies, removing ink from your skin has become possible. The laser tattoo removal machine utilizes a laser beam that precisely targets and fragments the colors without damaging the surrounding skin.

After that, the body absorbs the pigments and eliminates them naturally, thus showing you fading in the color over the next few weeks.

Because you deserve the golden standard!

We strive to provide you with exceptional treatment, that’s why we utilize the RevLite® laser machine that is built on the original ConBio™ Q-Switched laser technology which is considered to be the golden standard laser technology in administering this procedure.
This machine offers multiple wavelengths to choose from, making is customizable for each tattoo.

How many seasons will I require?

There are various factors that impact the number of sessions.

  • Size
  • Color
  • Ink composition
  • Location
  • Age of the tattoo

The number of sessions will be discussed during your free consultation with our professionals, as they devise a plan for you.

What to expect?

The Pain Threshold:

Just like getting one, removing a tattoo takes commitment and contemplation!
Laser tattoo removal greatly depends on your pain endurance, especially when the treated space takes over a big part of your body (sleeve tattoo).
Sessions are spaced 3 to 6 weeks apart giving time for the skin regeneration process of the fragmented ink particles.
Lightening of the skin after each session, is obvious, and maintenance helps in the slow but sure elimination of the tattoo and the healing of the skin should be within 10 to 14 days.

Here’s our treatment protocol:
The Do’s and Don’ts of Laser Tattoo Removal.

Before your session:

  • Avoid exposing the area to sun or tanning beds or applying self-tanning creams 7 days prior to your session.
  • Apply a topical anesthetic for pain relief if you’ve got a sensitive skin.
  • Remove any makeup, creams, oil or body lotion/milk of the treatment area.
  • Make sure there are no open sores, lesions, allergy or skin infection affecting the treatment area.
  • Refrain from using bleaching and exfoliating creams 3 to 4 days prior to the treatment.

After your session

  • Apply cold gauzes or ice packs to reduce swelling.
  • Refrain from applying ice packs directly on your skin; instead, wrap it with a paper or a cloth towel, and make sure you don’t keep it in direct contact with the skin for more than 15 minutes at a time.
  • Monitor the treated area for blisters, swelling, crusts or scabs.
  • Avoid scratching or irritating the area during the healing process.
  • Do not use harsh soaps, medicated washes, scrubs and peels.
  • Keep the treated area hydrated with soothing cream(s) prescribed by your Silkor practitioner.

    Mummy Makeover

From pregnancy to childbirth, women’s bodies go through a rollercoaster of changes that impact their appearance and self-esteem.

That being said, it’s not easy to jump back into the shape women had before, especially while balancing a baby on one arm and life on the other.

    Herein comes the Mummy Makeover.

As beautiful as pregnancy is, it does affect the breasts, the tummy, and the waist area, hence why the makeover consists of 3 main surgeries that women can choose from depending on the area they want to enhance, while boosting their self-esteem.

Commonly known as a “boob job” surgery is usually performed to:

    • Restore or increase breast volume
    • Achieve breast size symmetry
    • Enhance the shape of the breasts

Surgeons usually rely on breast implant or fat transfer depending on each specific case and on the desired outcome to be achieved.  For more on this surgery click here

    Breast Uplift

A breast lift procedure removes the excess skin and then tightens the surrounding skin tissue to reshape, support the new contour, and flaunt a more natural youthful shape.
For more on this surgery click here

    Abdominoplasty or Tummy Tuck

The “Tummy Tuck” also known as Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that flattens the abdomen by removing fat deposits and excess skin while tightening the abdomen’s muscles.

There are two types of “Tummy Tuck” surgeries, the first is the general one that removes a larger amount of fat while the mini or “partial” procedure removes excess skin deposits and fat in the lower abdomen or the “pooch”. For more on this surgery click here

Before undergoing a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty, you can to take various factors into consideration, for example breast feeding and weight changes linked to pregnancy. We recommend you consult with your surgeon at an early stage to set a pre, during, and post-surgery plan to optimize your body goals.

Yes, they are. However, a consultation with your surgeon is highly recommended.

No, they should not interfere with the breast-feeding process.

This all depends on the procedures being used and the different bodies and how they react to recovery. This can be discussed when you consult your surgeon, however this is not an in-and-out procedure, you might have to spend 2 to 3 nights at the hospital and follow a certain maintenance protocol upon discharge.

You heard that right, shine bright like a diamond, Rihanna says, and we make it happen with our Diamond Micro-Dermabrasion (DMD) treatment.

      What is DMD?

It is an advanced exfoliation technique designed to remove dead skin cells, stimulate new cellular growth and collagen leaving the skin fresh, smooth and healthy.

DMD is a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure, it’s pain-free and involves using a state-of-the-art wand-like application of a diamond-coated abrasion device that reduces fine lines, lightens age spots, acne and acne scars, and rejuvenates skin elasticity and color.

Everyone is uniquely beautiful, born with specific skin types and concerns, but worry not the DMD does not discriminate!
DMD is the solution to anyone who wants to glow-up and tackle the conditions below:
      • Sun damaged skin
      • Enlarged pores
      • Oily and acne prone skin
      • Acne and acne scars
      • Fine lines and wrinkles
      • Blackheads and whiteheads
      • Age spots
      • Superficial pigmentation
      • Stretch marks

DMD uses a magic wand that reverses time!

Unlike the traditional dermabrasion, the “Diamond Peel” unit does not use sand or aluminum oxide crystals due to the rise of many safety issues.
Our diamond-encrusted tipped wand removes the top layer of the skin with a gentle vacuum to provide you with remarkably smooth and vital skin.

The DMD is a flexible treatment as it can be safely paired with other treatments for optimal results.

Prior to any treatment, at Silkor, you undergo a free consultation where our facial therapists recommend the most beneficial regime for your specific skin concerns.

      • A minimum of 6 sessions are needed for optimal results.
      • A DMD treatment can be applied once every 1 to 2 weeks.
      • A facial session lasts for around 45 minutes including a soothing facemask.
      • A body session, needs 30 to 90 minutes (includes upper back, full back, arms and legs).

As instant as an Instagram filter, but for real!

After your first treatment, your skin will have a revitalized glow as it will look healthier and feel softer.
Your improvement will continue throughout your treatment program.

Do’s and don’ts for a happily ever after the treatment!

Since, there’s no downtime after Diamond Micro-Dermabrasion you should be able to resume your daily activities immediately.
However, there are a few steps to take to ensure great results.

      The Precautions:

      • Avoid electro-epilation, waxing, laser hair removal, facial scrubs, acid peels, topical retinoid and exfoliating medications 3-4 days before.
      • Avoid sun exposure and tanning of any kind 4-7 days before.
      • Men should come clean shaven on the day of the treatment.

      • Keep your skin hydrated at all times.
      • Apply the skincare products recommended by your skin therapist.
      • Protect your skin with sunscreen since it can be more sensitive in the few weeks after the treatment.
      • No sweating or gym for the next 3 to 4 hours to avoid irritation.

        PRP at Silkor

        Secret to Younger-Looking Skin.

        Book a free consultation

What is PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy?

It is a safe new form of regenerative medicine that utilizes the patient’s own platelets – for you, by you!

Platelets release proteins called growth factors when they are activated by contact with the body’s tissue. This activation promotes tissue repair and collagen production. You can inject PRP into any area where you would inject a dermal filler. It will not have the same effect as a filler since the two treatments work in different ways. However, it will stimulate collagen production in the area, which will be plumped with time.

What can be treated by PRP therapy?

        • Hair loss
        • Dark eye circles
        • Hand rejuvenation
        • Stretch marks & scars
        • Wrinkles & large pores
        • Fine lines on the forehead
        • Fine lines & turkey neck
        • Thin & wrinkled skin of the upper eyelid
Wrinkled skin of the bust area

Due to the local anesthetic cream, most patients do not find it painful. However, some patients might encounter mild swelling, bruising, or itchiness for 2 days post-treatment.

Treatment protocols vary from one patient to another. Hence, the number of treatments needed will be determined following our dermatologist’s consultation. In general, patients over the age of 40 will need a course of 3 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Younger patients may only need 1. Most people start to notice results themselves around 3-4 weeks with continuous improvements up to 6-12 months after treatment.

          Profhilo® at Silkor

          Get a skin uplift!

          Book a free consultation

          What is Profhilo®?

It is a revolutionary type of injectable rejuvenation treatment that deeply hydrates and lifts the skin. It is an anti-aging hydration treatment that contains high levels of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring compound that helps improve tone, texture, and elasticity.

          Who can benefit from Profhilo®?

As we age, the presence of hyaluronic acid in the skin naturally starts to drop, which causes the skin to lose its natural firmness and elasticity. Most people begin to see the effects of hyaluronic acid depletion as they reach their 30s – and Profhilo® is the perfect treatment for anyone looking to counteract this.

          Which areas can be treated?

Profhilo® is usually injected into the skin by our medical staff in five key facial areas:

          • Upper cheeks
          • Side of the face
          • Lines around the mouth (nasolabial folds and laughter lines)
          • Neck area
          • Chest, hands, and knees

To get the best out of Profhilo®, you need 2 to 3 sessions with an interval of 4 weeks. As for the results, they are gradual, and some people may witness the difference within a week or two.
Looking after your skin by protecting it from the sun, following a good skincare routine, drinking lots of water, and avoiding smoking and alcohol, may help to maintain your results for longer.

You may experience a little bruising and inflammation where the needle has punctured the skin, but this will naturally disappear after a while, just as any bruise would.

          As safe as it gets!
It is made of natural Hyaluronic Acid without the addition of chemical agents, which reduces the risk of reactions. Moreover, there is no downtime associated with this treatment, and you should be able to return to work straight away.

            Chemical Peels

            Youth is a peel away!

            What are Chemical Peels?

It is a highly safe non-surgical procedure for both men and women, which involves the application of one or more chemicals on the skin, producing an acceleration of cell turnover by peeling the top layer of the skin. This procedure exfoliates the skin and regenerates it by triggering the formation of new collagen.
During the natural healing process, the skin helps repair the treated area revealing a smoother, more rejuvenated skin. It is also used as a complementary procedure, usually performed two to three months prior to a facelift.

              This is how it works:

1st step: Carbon lotion, which is dark in color, is applied on the face and is left to be absorbed by the skin’s superficial layer. After resting, the carbon mask is heated using a 1st pass of the Q-switched laser.

2nd step: During the 2nd pass, the carbon is blasted off. During this process, the upper layer of the skin is peeled abolishing any dead skin or impurities.

3rd step: A 3rd pass using the Q- switched laser heats the skin and shrinks collagen, which stimulates new collagen formation by skin leaving it firmer & brighter.

Say “hello” to your new face! // State-of-the-art Technology

After the carbon facial is applied, our specialist will use the latest Q- switched laser technology, and pass it twice over your skin. The heat from the laser acts as a stimulant that results in collagen formation, which the body produces naturally.

                Book a free consultation

                A Nosey Situation

Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic nose surgery performed on both men and women to reshape and enhance the nose, while it is also used to solve medical concerns such as breathing disabilities or nose disfigurements.

                Medically Speaking
Rhinoplasty operation corrects functional nose problems, it also reverses the effects of a deviated septum, which usually causes breathing difficulties.

                Aesthetically Speaking

Aesthetically speaking, there are several factors why one would opt for rhinoplasty:

                • Nose to face size balance
                • Nose width at the bridge
                • Nose with visible humps on the bridge
                • Nasal tip that is enlarged or hooked
                • Nostrils that are large, wide or upturned
                • Nasal asymmetry

A Compatible Surgical Method for Every Case

Surgeons employ different surgical methods while operating a rhinoplasty depending on the pre-operative goals that were set during previous consultations.

Every patient’s unique case imposes on the surgeon to rely on a customized method; for instance, surgeons will remove masses of excess tissue and cartilage to assist easier breathing, but would build up cartilage for reshaping.

The plastic surgeon decides which type of surgery best suits your case during the consultation, while taking into consideration other factors like facial features and the type of skin.
It’s very important to communicate your desired aesthetic outcome with your surgeon so that he/she could help you set your goals and ground your expectations.

In a nutshell, every nose is treated differently and provided a customized plan to ensure desirable results.

                Before and After Rhinoplasty Surgery

The following instructions and guidelines will help your recovery process:

                Before the operation:

                • Rest well, as your body needs all the energy it can get to heal.
                • Keep your face clean for sanitary and hygienic purposes, it’s very important to wash and exfoliate your skin prior to surgery.
                • Drink more water during the days leading up to your rhinoplasty – ingest about twice as much as you usually do.
                • Let someone be ready to drive you home post-surgery, for safety purposes – as the rhinoplasty is a one-day operation.
                • Get all the medication prescribed by your surgeon and have them ready at home before you have the procedure.

                After the operation:

                • Elevate your head as much as possible during the early post-operative period.
                • Start your liquid diet as soon as you get home and gradually move to a normal diet. Avoid chewing for the first week and hot beverages for 48 hours.
                • Try to refrain from smoking cigarettes during the first 2 weeks after surgery as it hinders the healing and increases the risk of complications.
                • You will be given an appointment to come to the office for a follow up visit 2 or 3 days after surgery. At this visit nasal packing (if used) will be removed.
                • Avoid prolonged sun exposure for the first 3 months after surgery. Always apply SPF 30 if you’re going outdoors.

Note: Small areas of bruising may persist for weeks, and subtle swelling of the nose last for months. These effects will gradually diminish over time. The final results of nasal surgery is not completely evident for months, so be patient.

Laser hair removal can rid you of the pain and inconvenience of shaving and waxing, which can be time-consuming.  It is also a great solution for men and women to remove unwanted hair that grows in areas such as the back, shoulders, chest, belly, arms, legs, armpits, and private areas. Laser is an effective method to remove facial hair as well as body hair permanently for both men and women across a certain number of sessions.

                    How does it work?

Laser hair removal works by beaming a highly concentrated light directed to the hair follicles. The pigments in the follicle absorb the light, which in turn breaks down the follicle and prevents the hair from regrowing.

Our practitioners are skilled and our machines are FDA- Approved.

To each his very own Laser Hair Removal Machine.

We operate differently, and believe that every patient must have a customized experience that fits his/her concerns. For that reason, Silkor Laser & Medical Centers host FDA- approved machines that fit all skin types and hair colors. Hence why the client’s concerns are addressed in the free consultation performed prior to every treatment. We have an array of diverse laser hair removal solutions that work for hair removal of different types, such as Electrolysis or bleaching.

State-of-the-art machines for a customized experience:

1- Diode laser (LightSheer®, Lumenis One™, & LightSheer® Duet™ from Lumenis®): Designed to remove thick coarse facial hair and body hair on all shades of skin color.

2-Alexandrite Laser (Appogee+™ & Elite+™ from Cynosure®), optimal for patients that have white skin and fair or dark hair.

3- Nd: YAG Laser (Appogee+™ & Elite+™ from Cynosure ®), is ideal for darker and tanned skin types.

4- Nd: YAG omits high wavelength and has the ability to penetrate deeply and precisely with minimal scattering of laser energy and with no harm to surrounding tissue.

                    Frequently Asked Questions

All you need to know about this treatment.

On average people describe a feeling of moderate stinging or tingling. However, pain is relative to every person – once you undergo your first session you will start calibrate your threshold accordingly.
You are also offered the option of applying a topical anesthetic cream. Also, a lot of patients report feeling less pain, during LHR, after applying our double cooling technology that numbs the skin, reduces swelling, enhances healing and prompts safety.

You need multiple sessions to remove hair permanently, but you’ll reap the benefits of LHR from the first day. Your skin will look healthier and feel smoother, and you’ll notice a considerable amount of hair loss in treated areas.

With the new advancements in the field of laser hair removal, you are not required to remove hair with a razor before treating facial areas.

Laser hair removal will not work on white, grey, light red or light blond hair follicles – we usually treat these cases using Electrolysisince it doesn’t rely on targeting the pigment in the follicle to kill the hair.  Women with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), may experience poor results unless they receive medical support along with the laser treatment.

You will start seeing results after your very first session, and you will notice all through your treatment that hair in treated areas is dwindling. Eventually, you will reduce 15% to 20% of hair growth permanently each session.

                    Here’s our treatment protocol:

The Do’s and Don’ts of Laser Hair Removal

                    Before your session:

                    1) Avoid waxing, tweezing, bleaching, depilatories or electrolysis of treated areas for at least two weeks prior to the treatment.

                    2) Avoid Retin A, Accutane, bleaching, exfoliating creams, and facial peels before 10 to 14 days.

                    3) Avoid exposing the area to the sun, tanning beds or self- tanning creams 2 weeks prior to your session.

                    4) Remove Henna on treated areas one day prior to your session.

                    During your session:

                    1) Remove any deodorant, powder, makeup, and wear loose clothes.

                    2) Avoid applying any kind of essential oils or perfumes on the areas to be treated.

                    3) Depending on the surface of the are to be treated, a session may last between 10 and 60 minutes.

                    After your session:

                    1) To alleviate the redness immediately post treatment, splash the treated area with cold water often, and apply a soothing cream every 2 to 3 hours for a period of 2 to 3 days.

                    2) Avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area.

                    3) Avoid very hot showers or swimming in chlorinated water

4)Always remember, to use sunscreen SPF 50 on the treated areas at all times DURING and After your treatment.

5)Usually, hair in treated areas falls off right away; but in some cases, it can take up to 2 weeks for the hair to fall away. This process can be helped along by gentle use of a washcloth or body scrub for 4 to 5 days after treatment.

                      You’re not overweight nor obese,
                      it might be Lipedema!

Lipedema is a condition by which fat gets unevenly distributed in an irregular manner under the skin, typically in the abdomen, hips, upper buttocks, thighs, knees, and calves.

                      Lipedema Nodules and Treatment

You probably didn’t know or were simply misdiagnosed

There is a strong causal relationship between the development of Lipedema and hereditary or hormonal factors.

In most cases, Lipedema usually goes misdiagnosed as morbid obesity or Lymphedema. Meanwhile, medical research suggests a strong causal relationship between the development of Lipedema and hereditary or hormonal factors such as puberty, pregnancy, and stress.

Meet Dr. Harrane, an expert in treating Lipedema

His expertise currently encompasses an array of surgical procedures and he brings to the table professionalism, ethics, and attention to detail.

Learn more about your treatment options

Lymphatic Sparing liposuction is a “Game Changer”:

It has been agreed on by Lipedema medical experts that lymphatic sparing liposuction achieves the best results compared to other treatment techniques.

It is also thought preferable, as it can be performed without general anesthesia, reducing recovery time with no extra cost.

Learn more about  Dr. Schwartz’s own anesthesia protocol for his Schwartz Rapid Recuperation™.

Manual Lipedema Extraction (MLE): Extracting the very last of “Lipedema Pearls”.

Lipedema patients notice the formation of nodules or Lipedema pearls that can grow to be as firm and as big as a golf ball!

At this point, liposuction alone is not sufficient to remove the most of Lipedema fat, due to cannula size. Here MLE steps in to extract these fibrous fat nodules through incision sites without harming surrounding structures like the nerves, skin, and tissues.

After the lymphatic sparing liposuction procedure, nodules will become more apparent, requiring massaging similar to a deep Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD).

Don’t live in the dark! Here’s your guide to Lipedema.

                      Before and After Liposuction

How to spot Lipedema Fat? What are the symptoms?

Unlike regular fat cells, Lipedema adipose cells are usually fluid-filled and have abnormal growth patterns. This results in a thicker skin consistency – what is called nodules –  as well as changes in skin size, color, shape, and texture. The growth is eventually seen as folds and flaps hanging over the skin, medial knee fat pad, and swelling in the legs and feet.

It’s not just a matter of looks!

If you have Lipedema, you know that it’s really not just about those flaps and folds. In fact,  Lipedema patients suffer from far more severe symptoms of which are chronic pain and pressure, skin sensitivity, skin bruising, swelling, immobility, and chronic fatigue or malaise.

                      A 10- to 15-minutes outpatient procedure!

Carboxytherapy is a simple medico-aesthetic procedure in which a sterile medical CO2 gas is infused under the skin in several areas of the body. It’s an old technique used by doctors for the first time in France in 1932. A series of consecutive sessions is guaranteed to give you results that can last for up to 6 months.

                      How does it work?

Carbon Dioxide is present naturally in the body. Injecting it under the skin enhances the blood circulation to increase the oxygen in the treated areas. When CO2 gas is injected under the skin, your body reacts to what it believes is oxygen deficiency causing more blood to flow into this area to supply it with the needed oxygen.

                      carboxy Does it hurt?
Carboxytherapy is considered as a quick treatment; between 10 and 15 minutes. Silkor’s trained professional will use a very minute caliber needle (less than 0.3 mm) to inject an adequate amount of CO2 gas where you may feel a bit of pressure while the gas spreads under your skin. The process is very simple; there is no recovery period or pre-operative technique as there is no anesthesia involved in the session. Some people might think that Carboxytherapy requires pain management after the session. Wrong! You will not even need a single pill of painkillers!

                      Any side effects?

Surprisingly, the process has the least side effects when compared to other methods. The possible side effects are redness and numbness of the skin at the area of injection.

                      Carboxytherapy treats the below conditions:
