Too much volume? An old filler result that no longer feels right? Or simply ready to rethink a previous treatment?

Whatever brings you in, you deserve options. Filler dissolving is a medical procedure that can help reduce certain types of existing dermal filler, allowing your practitioner to reassess the area and plan the next step with you.

And this Green Friday, explore your options with 25% OFF on Filler Dissolving treatments.

    How does it work?

For suitable hyaluronic acid fillers, a substance called hyaluronidase can be injected into the treated area to break down the filler gel, helping the body absorb it.

The process depends on the type of filler, where it was injected, how long it has been there, and your individual response. Some cases may require more than one session, and dissolving filler does not guarantee that the area will return exactly to its original appearance.

When Might Filler Dissolving Be Considered?

When the volume feels like too much. Reduce unwanted fullness in a previously treated area when clinically appropriate.

When the shape isn’t what you expected. Reassess an aesthetic result that feels out of balance with your features.

When lumps or unevenness need attention. Have persistent bumps or irregularities assessed to determine their cause and the appropriate treatment.

When it’s time to rethink a previous treatment. Explore whether reducing existing filler is the right first step before considering any further aesthetic procedures.

Not every concern is caused by filler that needs dissolving. Your practitioner will assess the area before recommending a treatment plan.

Your face has its own language. Treatment should understand it.

    How Does It Work?

    1. The Assessment

Your practitioner reviews your treatment history, the product previously injected, and your current concern. If the filler type is unknown, further assessment may be needed.

    2. The Treatment

If suitable, hyaluronidase is carefully injected into the relevant area to help break down hyaluronic acid filler.

    3. The Follow-Up

Your practitioner monitors how the area responds and determines whether further treatment or reassessment is needed. The timing of any additional procedure depends on your individual response.

    Frequently Asked Questions

All you need to know about this treatment.

No. Hyaluronidase works on hyaluronic acid fillers, but it does not dissolve every filler material. Some fillers may be difficult or impossible to remove completely, so identifying the product used is important.

Some changes may become noticeable relatively quickly, but the final outcome can take longer to assess because swelling and other temporary reactions may affect the appearance of the area. Your practitioner will advise you on follow-up.

You may experience discomfort, stinging, or a pinching sensation during the injections. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, and bruising can also occur.

Possibly, depending on the reason for dissolving, the condition of the treated area, and your practitioner’s assessment. Further filler should only be considered once the area has been appropriately reassessed and it is safe to proceed.

    Here’s our treatment protocol:

    Before Your Appointment

    • Share any details you have about your previous filler, including the product, injection date, and area treated.
    • Tell your practitioner about allergies, previous reactions to injections, medications, and relevant medical history.
    • Explain your concerns and desired outcome honestly so the treatment plan can be tailored to you.
    • Do not attempt to dissolve filler yourself or use products purchased for home injection.

    After Your Appointment

    • Follow your practitioner’s aftercare instructions and attend any recommended follow-up appointments.
    • Expect possible temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising.
    • Avoid rubbing or manipulating the treated area unless your practitioner advises otherwise.
    • Contact your clinic if you are concerned about your recovery or notice unexpected changes.
    • Seek urgent medical attention if you experience difficulty breathing, swelling of the tongue or throat, or other signs of a severe allergic reaction.
